Oshiomhole’s Re-Election, Act Of Good Governance – Commissioner

BENIN CITY – The Comrade Adams Oshiomhole-led administration has brought a breath of fresh air to the governance and infrastructural transformation of Edo State.

Commissioner for Education, Barr. Ekpenisi Omorotionmwan, made the assertion when he played host to the executive council of a non-Governmental-organization, the Diyeto Group, in his office. He noted that for the first time in the political history of Edo State, the people spoke with one voice, by voting overwhelming for the Comrade Governor at the just-concluded governorship election.

Barr. Omorotionmwan highlighted the giant strides recorded so far in the education sector by the present administration, while admonishing Nigerian youths to take their destiny in their own hands by active involvement in partisan politics, so that they could position themselves to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic and political development of the nation.

The Education Commissioner stated that he felt so encouraged by the group’s visit and solicited for continuous prayers for the success of the Comrade Oshiomhole led administration.

Earlier in his speech, the President of Diyeto Group, Comrade Osadiaye Osatohanmwen stated that they were in the Commissioner’s office to familiarize with him and to congratulate the Comrade Governor through him for his resounding victory at the polls.

In a related development, Edo State Commissioner for Education, Barr. Ekpenisi Omorotionmwan has granted audience to the Students Union Government, College of Education, Ekiadolor – Benin, led by Comrade Augustine Ogieriaikhi and the Peace Corps of Nigeria, under the leadership of Dr. (Amb.) Dickson Akoh, in his office.

Commenting, the Education Commissioner underscored the commitment of the present administration towards providing comprehensive, qualitative and affordable education for the citizenry, under its total school transformation policy.

In their separate remarks, COLBEN SUG President, Comrade Augustine Ogieriaikhi and the National Commandant, Peace Corps of Nigeria, Ambassador Dickson Akoh, congratulated the Comrade Governor

on his re-election for a second tenure in office; while stressing their readiness to always partner and collaborate with the state government in its quest at improving the lot of the people.
