Northern State’s Governors Forum(NSGF) on Monday joined in congratulating the re-elected Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, describing his victory as a victory for the north.

The forum said Governor Oshiomhole’s resounding victory is an indication that democracy is beginning to take roots in the country.

In a press statement signed by Danladi Ndayebo, the Chief Press Secretary of the Chairman of the Forum and Niger state governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu the forum said “Four years on, the Kaduna boy has not disappointed his people. He has constructed roads, built schools and resuscitated the economy of Edo State. His re-election is therefore a reward for service”

Urging the  re-elected Governor to use the fresh term of four years to consolidate on the good work he started during his first tenure as governor of the state, Aliyu advised Governor Oshiomhole to extend a hand of fellowship to those who were defeated at the poll.

According to the statement, only an all inclusive government can bring about the desired change and development for a better Edo State.

The Chairman of the Forum appreciated the gesture of the people of the state in the way they showed their continued belief in Oshiomhole’s leadership urging them to continue to keep faith with him.

Other State governors should emulate Adems Oshiomhole of Edo State. This is a man who believes in legacy instead of enriching himself with the peoples fund.
