Edo to remove lunaticsfrom streets

| August 26, 2011 | 0 Comments

Edo State Governmentis set to remove the destitute and lunatics from the streets of Benin City. The problem is increasingly becoming a nuisance to the city and making nonsense of the beautification programme of the government.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Simon Imuekemhe, who made this known in Benin City, when a group, Edo Youth for Good Governance, paid him a courtesy call, said, “Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s unwavering commitment through immense innovations across the critical sectors of the society has been yielding results especially in areas of human capacity building and infrastructural development of Edo State. I want to appreciate the unalloyed support you are giving to Governor Oshiomhole.

With this type of uncommon support, 2012 is a foregone conclusion. As leaders of tomorrow, and for a body of youths to be committed to good governance, it is worthy of commendation. We will continue to give quality service to the people of the state and meet their basic social needs.”
