Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, justify your re-election
Friday, 17 August 2012
FIRST and foremost, I want to applaud the effort of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials before, during and after the governorship election in Edo State. I also give kudos to all security agencies that ensured adequate security of life and property during the election. Likewise, activities of press must not be overlooked. I say well done!.
Edo is a democratic state like every other state of Nigeria. Therefore, political stakeholders must all lend their support to Governor Oshiomhole for successful enthronement of democracy in the state.
Most important of all, I implore all candidates from other political parties to give full support to the Comrade governor.
All hands of opposition parties must be on deck to move the state forward and by extention Nigeria.
It’s not possible for all political aspirants to be on the saddle at the same time. Issues of life should be perceived as turn by turn.
Therefore, in a political game, there must be winners and losers as far as election is concerned. I urge the candidates from other parties to accept their defeat in the Edo gubernational election. There is always a second chance for everyone life.
Finally, I say congratulations to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. You deserve the congratulatory messages but they are not enough to mark any victory and as a result of the people’s support which gave you the second mandate, please live up to all promises made.
Adeyemi Daniel, B.O.
